It was 2 years ago.
That's when everything changed.
in the greatest snow storm of the year
They were calling it "snow-mageddon"
I gave birth to my second child.
A beautiful 9lbs baby boy.
Who decided to surprise the world
By hitting the ground feet first.
there were complications.
There were more complications,
there were complications on top of complications.
We were told to prepare ourselves,
and that he might not make it through the night.
we cried, We prayed, We let go.
He didn't.
He fought, He lived, He got better. One day at a time.
Breathing on his own, eating on his own...
and now walking and laughing and playing on his own.
You can say what you want about my "strange" son.
How he walks a little different,
and how he doesn't play like other kids.
You can give him terms, and labels, and diagnosis's,
But you will miss the glint in his eyes
when he see's something for the first time,
The joy as he sings and dances along to the radio,
or chases his sister around the yard.
My son is a Lion. He Roars at the world, while most kids only mew.
and he gives the best hugs
